Welcome to Ms. Smith's webpage
6th Grade Language and Science
I have created this page to keep everyone updated with academics while we are temporarily closed due to COVID-19.
Use the links at the top of the page (for some, it may be a drop down menu) for each subject. All work is for the week of
March 30, 2020 (previous work can be accessed at the bottom of each page).
I was a stay-at-home mom and chose to homeschool my children one semester as we transitioned from GA to NY. My daughter was in 3rd grade and my son was in 4th. The MOST important thing is having a schedule. My kiddos hated getting up early, so we started at 10am. But, structure is important. Choose a time of day when you feel your child is most productive (it might not be until evening) to have him/her do schoolwork. Again, I am here if you have any questions/concerns. I will provide a "notes" document on the Science page to better explain the sometimes complicated material.
Website is updated daily, or as needed. New topics will be posted each Monday, no later than 8am.
All answer keys* will remain available.
*Answer keys for grammar and science can be found on the CONTACT/RESOURCES page. New keys will be posted each Tuesday.
